Straight teeth are always in style and high demand. A well-aligned smile can make the great first impression you need to land a new job or make new social connections. It can raise your confidence and help you do the things you might’ve been missing out on because you’ve been too embarrassed to show your crooked teeth. An aligned smile can also improve your oral health since straight teeth are easier to keep clean and can relieve stress on the jaw caused by a bad bite. And finally, smiling more often can make you feel happier, and we’d love to give you more reasons to share your smile!
Dr. Bryce Alldredge is a certified provider of Invisalign® clear aligners in St. George, Utah. This nearly invisible orthodontic treatment allows you to improve the health and beauty of your smile without anyone knowing you are receiving treatment! Invisalign treatment is often ideal for teenagers and adults who are looking for a discreet alternative to traditional orthodontics. Unlike braces, Invisalign treatment relies on a series of clear plastic aligners to straighten your teeth. Each set of aligners is custom-made using specialized computer technology, so they fit your smile perfectly and provide an effective treatment.
Invisalign aligners can be used to treat all the same orthodontic issues as braces, including crowded, crooked, gapped and spaced teeth, as well as malocclusion (overbites, under bites, open bites, crossbites, etc.).
As your treatment progresses, you will switch to a new set of aligners every week or so. Small changes will be made to the alignment of your teeth with each new aligner, gradually and gently moving your teeth into their correct positions. You will meet with our dentist regularly throughout your treatment to ensure that it progresses as planned.
Because your aligners are made from clear plastic, they can become dirty very easily. Please remember to clean them regularly in order to prevent your teeth from appearing stained, gray or dirty.
We also recommend that you only remove your aligners to eat or brush your teeth. While the fact that your aligners are removable means that you can eat whatever you like during your treatment and can brush and floss your teeth with ease, your teeth will not move unless you are wearing the aligners regularly. To keep your treatment on track, we recommend that you wear your aligner 20 to 22 hours each day.
