Dental implants are used to replace teeth that have been removed or are damaged beyond repair.

At About Dental Care we provide dental implant solutions that look good, feel great and endure.

All implants are not created equal. Through many years of study and experience we have found the best implants on the market to be Ankylos, which we use on our patients. In fact, they are so superb that they are backed by a manufacturer’s life-time warranty while most other implants are only a 5 year warranty.

This video from explains in more depth about implant types and why we recommend the “no bone-loss” or tapered connection implants to our patients.

A “no bone-loss” or tapered connection is a unique connection between the implant and the abutment. Abutments are implant caps that function as a crown base. A conical connection describes one kind of implant to abutment connection. In this video, you will see how a titanium abutment is screwed onto an implant and how bacteria can reproduce in small niches and gaps between most other types of implant abutment connections causing bone-loss around the top of the implant.
